What a showing from the Flames tonight.
They erase three leads, score four for the first time in 26 and snap a miserable road stretch with a 4-3 win over the Nashville Predators on Tuesday night.
The Flames were paced by their fourth line with two goals, and a gutsy goaltending performance by Dan Vladar.
The Flames return home to host the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday night.
The Flames were a plucky group tonight, don’t let the score fool you.
But in the end they didn’t have the finish to beat Oettinger, nor the goaltending to match the Dallas side in a lopsided 6-2 loss in Dallas on Sunday night.
The lost moves the Flames to 1-4-2 in their last seven games.
Is this a slide? Or do the Flames find that gear and go on a run again?
They continue to struggle on the road.
Next up they visit Nashville on Tuesday night.
The Flames had their six game home winning streak snapped tonight, but were the better team in this one and likely deserved a better fate.
Calgary erased a 2-0 and 3-2 St. Louis lead to get the game to overtime and earn a point, before dropping the game on a controversial overtime goal that had Pareyko seemingly push the pad of Dan Vladar into the cage with the puck.
The Flames were paced by their youth with call up Jakob Pelletier, and Matt Coronato both scoring goals.
Next up for the Flames a road game in Dallas on Sunday night.

It was amazing the two teams could even play hockey after that opening tribute to their fallen teammate.
But play they did, as the Flames marched to a 3-0 victory; Calgary’s 6th in a row on home ice, snapping a four game losing streak and putting an exclamation point on the Gaudreau night.

Relying on goaltending and out working your opposition is a tough road to hoe.
Recently it hasn’t been enough to get it done, as the team loses 6-2 in Pittsburgh to go winless on the four game road trip with a 0-3-1 record
Tonight they really weren’t all that close.
They got whipped five on five, they got dominated in special teams and they were really never in the game.
